Telehealth sessions are offered online for individuals and couples at 50 minutes or 80 minutes. Longer sessions are available for specific therapy techniques and general talk therapy. The online booking calendar displays 50 minute appointment spots. Contact me directly to arrange a longer session.
Fees
See Jane for up-to-date fees for services. Fees are set in accordance with the BCACC recommended fee schedule.
A reduced rate fee is offered dependent on availability and will need to be discussed with your therapist. Clients who pay a reduced rate hold individual contracts with their therapist regarding the use of reduced rate services. Specific eligibility requirements apply. Clients who require a reduced fee permanently will be provided with options and referrals.
GST is charged at the current rate of 5%.
Payment
Payment can be made by e-transfer, Visa debit, Visa or MasterCard. American Express is not accepted.
Official receipts include my BCACC registration number and are issued for all sessions. To reduce my office’s carbon footprint, receipts are issued by email.
Timing of Payment
Payments are due and completed at the end of your session. Payments made by e-transfer will be due and processed at either the start or end of your session.
Cancellations
I have a flexible 48-hour cancellation policy. Missed appointments are charged the full session fee. View the cancellation & appointment policy.
Extended Health Insurance
If you have extended health insurance through your work or through a family member, you may be covered for the services of a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
Some extended health care plans cover services provided by an RCC, while others do not. Counselling services provided by RCCs are not currently covered by MSP.
If you are on short or long-term disability from your work and have a private insurance plan, ask your insurance provider if you are eligible to receive counselling services from an RCC.
If you do not have extended health insurance, you may still be able to deduct counselling as a health-related expense on your annual income tax return depending on your total annual health expenses.
Direct Billing to Insurance
Direct billing is not currently offered by Ashley Greensmyth Counselling. Our easy receipt process contains all the information required to submit your receipt to your insurance provider.
Third Party Billing to ICBC
Third party billing to ICBC is currently offered. In order to be eligible for this service, I will need to confirm coverage with your ICBC Claims Specialist. You will be required to pay a “user fee” for each ICBC counselling session. This fee is equivalent to the difference between what ICBC will pay and the full session fee. Please refer to the ICBC website for the latest coverage updates. You can seek reimbursement for user fees with your extended health insurance if this is available to you.
Third Party Billing to FNHA
I am a registered provider with the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA). To get started, I will need to confirm your eligible coverage with FNHA through their online portal. This process is typically very quick. FNHA does not allow providers to charge any user fees, so there will be no charge to you for services.
