I’m celebrating 6 whole months of The Belonging Sa I’m celebrating 6 whole months of The Belonging Salon! 🍾It’s almost hard to believe that what began as a dream and a question of “who am I to do this“ has turned into a thriving community. We gather and chat each month, and each week in our private group we share wins, open our hearts, gather encouragement, and cheer one another on.I love the space that we’ve created with The Belonging Salon. And I’d love for you to join us to see what it’s like. 🤍You might be thinking:
“I don’t have time for another community,”
“I don’t want to feel obligated to show up,”
or even “I’m just trying to survive this season.”The Belonging Salon was intentionally created from the idea that we all need connection, we all deserve belonging, you deserve to take up space, and you don’t have to do everything alone. You can show up as little or as much as you have the capacity for.
Grow at your own pace.
Receive gentle support and encouragement.
And step away from the hustle, at least for a moment.Try your first month for free and see what we’re all about. Worst case scenario? You get support, encouragement, reflection, prompts, and one helluva good conversation.🔗 Link is in my bio! It’s officially yearbook/HAGS (have a good summer) It’s officially yearbook/HAGS (have a good summer) season, but how are you really feeling? 🌼• overwhelmed with to-do lists
• anxious about life stress
• bogged down by a busy social calendar
• sick with a summer cold (or is that just me?)Let this be your reminder to stop and fill your cup each day—for 1 hour if you can. I’m serious. And at least one day each week. And if that sounds impossible, start with half a day and report back. 🫡Let’s make it a GOOD summer.

Ever wonder why your anxiety can feel so intense, Ever wonder why your anxiety can feel so intense, even when part of you knows you’re probably safe?Sometimes anxiety isn’t just about what’s happening right now. It can be influenced by experiences your nervous system learned from long ago. When the brain perceives similarities between a current situation and a past distressing experience, it may respond as though protection is needed, even if the threat isn’t actually present. This is one reason insight alone doesn’t always make anxiety go away. You may logically understand that you’re safe while your nervous system is sending a very different message.EMDR helps people process experiences that may still be contributing to present-day anxiety, allowing the brain and body to update old information and respond more flexibly in the present.🌿#EMDRTherapy #VancouverCounsellor #AnxietyTherapy #MentalHealth
People pay me to listen to their secrets and witne People pay me to listen to their secrets and witness their tears… And it’s one of the coolest jobs in the world. 😎Therapy isn’t about having someone tell you what to do. It’s about having a space where you can be honest, explore patterns, process difficult experiences, and better understand yourself without judgment. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I want clients to leave session sessions with greater self-awareness, a deeper understanding of why they do what they do, and tools that help them create meaningful change in their lives. And honestly, there is something pretty bad ass about deciding you’re no longer willing to stay stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you. Looking inward takes courage. Healing takes work. Choosing growth when avoidance would be easier is a power move. You deserve a life that feels good to live, not just one that looks OK from the outside.🌿#VancouverCounsellor #MillennialTherapist #MentalHealthMatters #EMDRTherapy
Come on, badass! If you’ve ever found yourself sa Come on, badass! If you’ve ever found yourself saying “yes” when you wanted to say “no,” avoiding difficult conversations, or replaying things you wish you’d said, this post is for you. Many people think boundaries are about keeping others out. In reality, healthy boundaries help create relationships that feel more authentic, balanced, and sustainable. When we prioritize people-pleasing, we often end up disconnected from our own needs. The result can be resentment, frustration, emotional exhaustion, or feeling unseen by the people around us.Learning to speak up, express preferences, and communicate limits doesn’t guarantee everyone will like it. What it does do is give others the opportunity to know the real you.The irony is the boundaries aren’t JUST good for you. They’re often good for your relationships, too. When expectations are clearer and needs are communicated, there’s less guesswork, less resentment, and more room for genuine connection.Which boundary affirmation do you think people struggle with most?🌿#Boundaries #PeoplePleasing #MentalHealth
