I convinced myself that I didn’t have the motivation to use the tools I learned.
I convinced myself that nothing would work, even if I tried.Of course, when I came to my senses, I would use the tools and they worked without fail.Challenging yourself, practicing mindfulness, using breathing exercises to get through a panic attack. It can be influenced by experiences your nervous system learned from long ago. When the brain perceives similarities between a current situation and a past distressing experience, it may respond as though protection is needed, even if the threat isn’t actually present.This is one reason insight alone doesn’t always make anxiety go away.
